How to lose belly fat quickly!
Obesity is an increasing health epidemic, causing people to die from preventable illnesses.
Our lifestyles have become more rushed but also causes us to become sedentary at the same time.
We spend most our time sitting on our butts...Sitting in the car on the way to work.
For some it maybe sitting on a bus or train, then sitting at their desk.
With the lack of movement we experience each day, we slowly gain that extra weight.
I soon found this to be a problem especially my job requires me to use the computer for long hours.
It took me awhile to realise I gained a bit of weight when my jeans didn't fit anymore. I felt quite embarrassed and wonder how I ended up in this situation.
I realised I wasn't moving around much during the day. I would feel more tired and my body would ache. I knew I had to change my lifestyle...
Here is a break down of the tips I recommend which has helped me shed those extra inches of body fat once and for all.
Losing weight is a combination of dieting and exercise. The key is to take in less calories than what your body needs to maintain it's current weight.
Dieting alone won't do the trick. You will get temporary results, but for long term effects, you must exercise and keep that heart rate up.
Trust me, i've been through it all. It's not easy at first but once you start seeing results, it becomes an addiction to melt away the fat.
Tip 1 - Take Out the Rubbish
We all love sugar. Whether it be candy, soda, chips, the list goes on. Sugar is highly addictive and provides no nutritional value.
I recommend checking your pantry and throwing out all the junk food if you are serious about losing that belly fat.
By having these snacks laying around, it creates temptation which leads to poor eating habits. When I see snacks I will end up eating it sooner or later.
By throwing it all out, it removes any possibility of temptations happening.
Tip 2 - Don't Worry About the Scale
People who are trying to lose weight tend to hop on and off the scale constantly. This is a bad habit and can demotivate you from achieving your weight loss goals.
How would you feel if one day you lost a pound and gained a pound the day after? I would sure be confused and feel like I'm going no where.
Your weight can fluctuate depending what you have eaten throughout the day and the amounts of liquids you have consumed.
I recommend using a tape measure and logging your results in a notebook to keep track of your progress. You can measure your chest, biceps, waist and upper thigh.
Do this once a month and you will be amazed when you see the changes. This task is simple to do but it's also highly effective in developing the successful habits when losing weight.
Tip 3 - Exercise Regularly
Getting rid of the junk food and eliminating sugar is just the beginning of your weight loss journey.
You must include exercising in your daily routine to shed those extra inches of fat. Exercise helps your body use up its calories and put's your metabolism in action.
You don't need to head to the gym in order to exercise. Don't fall victim to the lame excuse for not exercising because you don't have access to a gym.
Start off with simple exercises which can do at home.
You can go for a walk right now for 30 minutes around your neighbourhood, or hop onto an exercise bike or treadmill.
Find out which activities you love and enjoy to do, try to keep the heart rate up so your body can burn extra calories.
I enjoy and highly recommend using kettle bells when exercising at home.
There are many different variations of movements which you can do with a kettle bell.
Remember to switch up your exercises so that you target different muscle groups, to create a toned physique overall.
Tip 4 - Plan Out Your Meals
Planning out your meals will help minimise the need of snacking on something unhealthy you will regret later on.
When you have a plan, you know what to eat and when to eat. This also makes it easier when you're buying your groceries.
You wouldn't put poor quality petrol in your car would you? Same goes for food.
There are plenty of websites out there which can help you with planning your meals. Remember to include a variety of foods in your diet plan.
Reward yourself with something sweet time to time, but be mindful of how much you're eating. Your body will thank you later on.
Tip 5 - Remove Toxins
Detoxing your body is a great way for your body to remove all that nasty stuff which has processed overtime from consuming high fat and high sugar foods.
There are plenty of detox products currently on the market, most of the time tasting horrible and costing a fortune.
Here is quick and inexpensive way of detoxing.
Every morning I recommend starting off with a glass of warm water and add a few squeezes of lemon juice.
It's an inexpensive way to detox your body and has many great benefits for your body.
Final Thoughts
Losing excess weight may sound overwhelming at first but the results are definitely worth the time.
I found writing down my goals on a piece of paper has helped motivate me when there are days where I almost give into temptation or I have made poor diet choices.
Just keep things simple. Remember to eat less calories and exercise more.
Don't fall for any magic pills or fancy diet plans.
Most of the time they don't work and you end up wasting your precious time.
I guarantee you will see results and your life will change.
Losing weight and achieving my goals has definitely boosted my self confidence.
