Benefits of Green Juice
I have been adding green juice to my diet for the past couple of years and have experienced significant changes to my health and well being. My days are usually chaotic and time is limited.
It becomes a bit difficult and challenging to consume all the necessary vitamins and minerals I need each day.
If you're like me, I'm not the biggest fan of munching on leafy greens unless they're prepared with some kind of sauce and a combination of meats.

After with a bit of trial and error, I experimented with different combinations of ingredients. By simply adding berries, bananas and chia seeds, I'm able to consume something healthy and packed full of natural energy in a short amount of time.

When you juice your fruits and vegetables, our bodies are able to digest these nutrients much more faster since there are no solids for our stomachs to break down.

Here's my favourite green smoothie recipe
This smoothie is great for losing weight, boosting energy and skin rejuvenation. This green smoothie recipe helps the body with detoxing and boosting your metabolism.
Ingredients:
- Water – 1.5 cups
- romaine lettuce – 1 head
- celery – 3 to 4 stalks
- Spinach – 1/2 of a large bunch or 3/4th of a small bunch
- apple – 1
- pear – 1
- banana – 1
- lemon juice – 1/2 fresh lemon
- cilantro or parsley – 1/3 rd bunch (Optional)
Directions:
- Chop all the green leafy vegetables and fruits
- Add water and the chopped romaine lettuce to the blender and blend until smooth
- Now add spinach, apple, celery and pear to the blender and blend at high speed
- Next add the cilantro and parsley followed by the banana and blend until the mixture has a smooth consistency
- Serve in a tall smoothie glass
